The Break House Kitchen + Beach Bar is rolling out the city's first rooftop brunch experience with its DJ Brunch on the Rooftop series, kicking off Sunday, May 3 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The reservation-only event plans to return monthly, each time with a new music-driven theme and a steady backdrop of Atlantic Ocean views just steps from the Deerfield Beach International Fishing Pier.

The Deerfield Beach pier is getting a tasty upgrade. Local restaurateur Danielle Rosse is tearing down walls and transforming the former Pier Restaurant with enthusiasm. Rosse took over the space earlier this year and has invested more than $2 million to give it a much-needed makeover. Set to open this winter, The Break House is located right next to Rosse's other concept, Oceans 234.
